About Us		The Richard Parks Agency is a full-service literary agency representing authors of general trade fiction and non-fiction. Established in 1989. Member of AAR and The Authors Guild. Affiliated with The Barbara Levy Literary Agency for UK representation and with The Marsh Agency for translation rights. Handles film and television rights, directly or via subagents.
		Prior to establishing the agency, Richard Parks was a film and television producer, a film studio executive, and before that, a literary agent at Curtis Brown, Ltd.
Representation		The Richard Parks Agency represents literary and commercial fiction and trade non-fiction in a wide range of subject areas. Of special interest: narrative non-fiction, biography and autobiography, history, popular culture, medicine and health, psychology, parenting, nature and the environment, outdoors/adventure, women’s issues, cultural and ethnic issues. We do not handle children’s books, poetry, plays, or screenplays.

Terms		15% commission on domestic sales; 20% on foreign sales. Charges for photocopying, overseas postage, messenger fees, books ordered for use in rights submissions, any special expense incurred at the request of the client.
